On the day of his arrest, Griffith was walking towards the wharf when Police officers in the area spotted him. It was said that he was carrying a box that contained what appeared to be ground provision on the top. Griffith cleared security and proceeded onto the wharf. Apparently spotting the police, he tried to hide but the officers found him, where upon he attempted to run.

A search conducted on the box revealed that there were several taped packages of drugs.

Further investigations into the matter led the police to Davis who admitted that all the transactions and taping of the packages were done at his home.

As part of their bail conditions, Griffith was ordered to report to the Colonaire Police Station between the hours of four and six p.m. on Mondays and Fridays and surrender his travel documents. As for Davis he is to report to the Calliaqua Police Station on Mondays and Fridays between four and six p.m. and surrender his travel documents also.

Another charge for attempting to export was laid against Griffith. He pled not guilty. The matter was adjourned to April 2.
