Halbich retained as president of SVG Hotel and Tourism Association
The St Vincent and the Grenadines Hotel and Tourism Association re-elected Kim Halbich as its president when the organisation held its biennial general meeting on November 24.
Halbich, who is proprietor of the Paradise Beach Hotel was re-elected unopposed, a release states.
Also elected to serve for a new term were:
Vice President – Keisha Browne of Mariners Hotel, re-elected unopposed; representative for hotels, Sandra King of the Sunset Shores Hotel; representative for Resorts Bianca Porter of Young Island Resort, also re-elected unopposed; and representative for Cottage/Cabana/Villas Sharon Francis of Villa Barbara.
The representative for the Dive Sector Vaughn Martin of Serenity Dive also faced no challenge and was re-elected unopposed; as was the representative for Yachting/Boating/Vessels Katie Bingham of Sail Grenadines.
Also joining president Halbich is representative for Land Tour Operators Nicole Hazell Gun-Munro of Blue Destination Services; representative for General Allied Peter Van Whervin of Guardsman who was re-elected unopposed.
At the commencement of the Meeting, one minute’s silence was observed as a mark of respect for the late Sir James Mitchell, former Prime Minister of SVG, who was a stalwart in the SVG Tourism Sector.
