SOL donates to two service organisations
SOL has made financial donations of $4,347.00 and $8,694.00 to the St Vincent and the Grenadines Red Cross (SVGRC) and World Paediatric Project (WPP) respectively.
Parkland Fuels Inc. of Canada is the majority shareholder of SOL, and as part of Parkland’s social Investment Programme called “Parkland Pledge” the donations were made to both charities, a release from SOL states.
Each employee of SOL can pledge money to be donated to selected charities. Employees can pledge all their allocation to any one charity or apportion it as they deem fit to both charities.
General manage of SOL St Vincent, Steve Francis said that both charities were chosen due to their outstanding work in the communities which they serve.
Representative of the World Paediatric Project, Lauren Mc Intosh, and Julia Simmons of the SVG Red Cross, thanked SOL’s staff for its contributions and took the opportunity to extend best wishes to the company and its staff for a prosperous New Year, noting that the funds would assist in offsetting expenses.
